We Love Barcelona!
We were in Barcelona a few times, and we liked the town, but this time Barcelona charmed us, and I fell in love with her.
It was a wonderful visit.
Spring in Barcelona is Beautiful .
We had wonderful experiences, new encounters, discovering …
Barcelona is beautiful. Connection of a big city with beautiful architecture, magnificent climate and sea… This is not to say. Morning coffee at one of the lovely cafe-shops , afternoon sitting and walks on the beach, or visiting a museum, which is many in Barcelona, evening shopping in stores and then walks streets of the old quarter of Gotyk. All conclude with good dinner in a restaurant .
- Bus tourist.
It’s a big city, and therefore, especially when you are in Barcelona for the first time, it is worthwhile to take the Tourist Bus. It has 2 routes and will take you through the roof with stunning views of the entire city.
We had several meetings in different parts of the city, and This way faciliates transportation by comfortable and interesting.
- Dogs brands .
So we got to visit my IG friend Keira , she is owner of luxury dog brand “Barcelona Dogs”. Our meeting was amazing, we have a pleasant memories at her, her beautiful 8 dogs, a couple of them fell in love with my husband Petr , and amazing environments Old Villas, which is also a showroom of the brand. Another path lead us to a beautiful Dog Shop “Cyriano”. It’s also a sign of Spain, where you can find beautiful things for your pet dog: collars, shirts, jackets … also produce beautiful bags for dogs. I love their bags !!! Beautiful leather, well designed, comfortable and utilitarian. Trade is as nice as those things in it, you will definitely want to take away gift for your pet. - Shops.
When I mentioned about dogs shops, Marvin got a lot of wonderful things from there , I can not mention about stories for humans.
There are many shops in Barcelona.We like Spanish brands, when we go to Spain, always bring a few pieces. Do not miss the store brand “Massimo Dutti” Once we discovered it in Malaga, and since those times always buy something there, fot me and my husband Petr.
It’s a good brand, things are good ,quality and pretty , shops are beautiful with perfect service.
Another Spanish brand is “Zara”. “Zara” has already stores around the world. Makes beautiful fashion for adult,children, beautiful things for home “ZaraHome”
When we were about a second flew to Barcelona, 8 years ago, we went to look in Girona. It is a small picturesque City near Barcelona, where The world-famous film director, originally from Chech , Milos Forman shot his film “Ghosts Gojive”
Ten times during walks through the city, we found a Spanish brand “Adolfo Dominguez “. We bought a wonderful summer handbag for me and beautiful slippers for my husband Petr.
This time we met some of the trade marks in Barcelona.
- Parks.
Barcelona can be proud of its parks. They are everywhere: small, large, or simply spectacular and beautiful. And always there you can meet some people with dogs.
One of the most spectacular is the “Citadel Park”. We were there on Saturday and the park was full of people.
For children there are programs, a group of young people just sprawled on the grass, others have a picnic, others just passing through.
- Siesta.
Always In the afternoon we stopped for Sangria, typically Spanish wine-based drink, in a restaurant opposite the harbor. Siesta: excellent cooling Sangria and overlooks a beautiful marina, parked small and large luxury yachts.
There we met my IG friend Tanya and her beautiful Cavalire. She lives in Barcelona . It was nice meeting.
- Beach.
Sea and beach in Barcelona are beautiful. The sea is clean, the beach is long with light sand, a beautiful boardwalk . During our stay the weather was amazing, so it directly attracted to the sea. And there we spent a few hours, to swim it still has not, but certainly sunbathing on a blanket. In this weather beach attracts, there are many people who came to catch the sun, and people with dogs. Dogs can stay on the beach befor 1 June and from 1 September.
- Dogs.
There are many Dogs In Barcelona. I have never seen so many people with dogs, we were pleasantly surprised.
You meet them everywhere :strolling around the city, in parks, where they played with other dogs, on the beach, where they run and play. At the summer terase in restaurants , where quietly laying under the table , when there humans ennjoyed good food.
Spanish loves dogs. Barcelona loves dogs.
- Hotel.
The times we lived in the hotel “Barcelo Raval”, in the city center, near the Rambla, on a quiet street.
We really liked it and I can definitely recommend it.
Beautiful modern hotel in perfect place, good service and excellent breakfast . Rooms are interesting resolved, the bed is comfortable. At the 11 flor is a beautiful terrace with panoramic views of Barcelona.
- Restaurants.
Holels restaurant looked inviting, but we love to go for dinner to the old city ,the old Gothic Quarter.
Evening town starts to live up to 20h, restaurants and terraces are filled with people, shops are closing.
We can recommend the restaurant “Grill Room”, there are excellent paella (a traditional Spanish dish of rice, seafood, meat, served on a table directly with the pelvis)
- Markets.
The places that are worth the visit definitely belongs markets .One beautiful market is located in the center of the Rambla. There you can buy fresh fish, fruit … Or enjoy a glass of wine and some tapas, a small Spanish delicacies.
- Architecture, Gaudi, musea.
The best-known works include Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia cathedral, a symbol of the city and a masterpiece that still is not finished .In the center are more Gaudi’s famous buildings, the House Milà (Casa Milà), the House Batllo (Casa Batllo) and Park Güell.
In the Park Guell, where there is also a nice view, is a museum of Gaudi . Famous cultural and historical monuments of Barcelona is the “Gothic Quarter”.
Plaça del Rei is a museum city history in which we can see the underground excavations from the Roman period. Once there was a spa with pool, there were also found canals and amphorae.
Barcelona has plenty of Gothic monuments; They originate from the time of its heyday. Many are located in the Barrio Gótico. Among most certainly include the town hall building called Casa de la Ciutat Plaça Sant Jaume.
- FC Barcelona.
Of course I can’t forget football .
The club is also called the abbreviated titles, such as Barcelona or Barça. Domestic football stadium, the Nou Estadi del Futbol Club Barcelona known as the Camp Nou .
We were not at the game, but when we were last time in Barcelona, we have to look at the stadium.
It was a wonderful stay, that it is already starting to think about when we will fly there again.
